Trophies, cash prizes, and special awards are provided across all divisions at this popular car show, which is held each June at the Menard Sports Center in Anchorage.
Held at the Harry J McDonald Center for approximately three decades, the Alaska Custom Car and Cycle Show welcomes many types of unique vehicles along with cars, trucks, and motorcycles. This three-day show typically takes place each May and is considered one of Alaska’s premier car shows. An awards ceremony is held at this special event.
Each first Sunday in August, the Jay Ofsthun Memorial Show and Shine takes place on the Delaney Park Strip. Held during Anchorage’s beloved Fur Rondy celebration each February, the Fur Rondy Car Show is a two-day event held at Bob’s Services. Only antique cars are showcased, making it the perfect destination for classic car lovers and collectors. The Fur Rondy, aka Fur Rendezvous, event has been bringing the community together with family-friendly events and entertainment since 1935.
The Thunder Valley Flag Drags Concert & Car show is an exciting auto event that includes both racing and an auto show dedicated to 1974 models and older. A “Camaro Showdown” for all classic Camaros is held with the drags. There’s no admission fee for spectators and car show participants, and there’s also live band music at this event.
