Homer Council on the Arts (HCOA) serves the communities of Kachemak Bay and the Lower Kenai Peninsula. Our mission is to provide opportunities for everyone in the community to experience and participate in the arts.

The historic roots of the organization reach back to 1958 with the founding of the Homer Concert Association. Later, Homer area arts groups determined that a formal organization was needed to meet increasing demand for programs and to provide a cultural arts facility in Homer. HCOA was established in 1975 for this purpose.

HCOA advocates for the arts as an integral, essential part of community life. We offer arts education programs and sponsor public events such as concerts, plays, gallery exhibits, talent shows, and craft fairs.
