About Us:

The Sullivan Arena was opened in February 1983 and, since that time, has been a mainstay in the entertainment scene in Anchorage.

The Sullivan Arena is designed to be a multi-use facility, complete with an Olympic-size ice rink, with an insulated floor covering for basketball, concerts, and trade shows. Total square footage with all telescoping seats retracted is approximately 32,000 square feet.

As the home of the ECHL's Alaska Aces, and the Western Collegiate Hockey Association's University of Alaska, Anchorage Seawolves, Sullivan Arena provides top quality hockey entertainment to thousands of fans per year.

The Sullivan Arena also plays host to the nation's premier NCAA Thanksgiving basketball tournament - Carrs / Safeway Great Alaska Shootout. The Shootout features the country's best NCAA women's and men's basketball teams.

Versatility allows the Sullivan Arena to offer events for everyone. This is proven by our average yearly attendance of over 500,000!
