About Fairbanks Light Opera Theatre:
In Fairbanks, we are affectionately known as FLOT and have been producing quality musical theatre in the Interior of Alaska for 40 years! If you turn to our history page, you will see a list of shows that have been produced by FLOT and it will tell you how vibrant and active we are. All our shows have big stage appeal and a live orchestra...In fact, we have been compared with big city productions so much that we see ourselves as "the Broadway of the North".
Although our primary objective is to produce two main stage productions each year, we also have educational goals. Young people are included in many of our productions and also in our summer educational program: FLOT, Jr. Through these opportunities, many of our youth become enduring members, who continue to contribute to the rest of the community with the skills and confidence they learned while working on their stage presentations in FLOT.
